About Newton and The Apple Tree - Visual Novel by Laplacian (Delisted)

Newton and The Apple Tree is the second visual novel I ever played (being the first one is Doki Doki Literature Club). This title, made by Laplacian, is the one that makes me interested in playing visual novels, so I am pretty shocked to see that Newton and The Apple Tree have been delisted from every store (Fakku and Steam) and will not be available for any new purchase.

I have looked for any information on Twitter, Steam, other websites that include "Newton and The Apple Tree" (Nook News - 11/8/21), and Laplacian's discord server but there's no clearance about the reason why it has been delisted. But here's some fact that I found:

Laplacian, as a company, has "moved on" from making 18+ genre visual novels and currently (when this post was written) focus on a new visual novel with the title "Cyanotype Daydream -The Girl Who Dreamed the World-" planned to globally release on February 2022. This visual novel is rated for all ages.

On steam discussion for delisted Newton and The Apple Tree, there's a rumor that Laplacian has been involved in... tax evasion (?)... which is pretty hard to believe seeing that other Laplacian games (other than Newton and The Apple Tree) are still available for purchase in another store.

Newton and The Apple Tree's promotional website has been taken down (now it only shows a blank page). We can no longer (officially) view the original website, promotional gallery, or even download the demo. Luckily, webarchive.org (known for crawling and caching sites for archive purposes) has a snapshot of Newton and The Apple Tree website, the latest one is dated 10 July 2021. 

It seems that Sol Press (Newton and The Apple Tree's Publisher) saved the files in a separate repository than the website. I have found out that you can still legally download the demo version from the 'Download Demo' button on the website's snapshot.

Currently, I am looking for a legal source for 17+ and 18+ patches. If I remembered correctly, it was distributed free as downloadable content from the website. I just did not remember where.

Laplacian delisted the game for some reason. This post was created by me for a purpose of personal notes. I will not redistribute or share the link from the sites that illegally distribute the content.
